Outfits for Kaelie

Hi everyone...well, as you can see, I finally bought some decent camera batteries! YEEHOO! I downloaded some fantastic software from Google called Picasa2, and I think it is going to work great to share my pictures. I've had my camera for almost two years, and the software that came with the camera won't let me easily share my pics.

Anyway, as you can see I went and did a little shopping today. I picked up this cute baby-blue dress for Kaelie in a 9-month size. It says "Little Princess" across the front. The pajama sets came together, and the lavender one says "Little Treasure" across the front. I'm not planning to buy a lot of clothes until we get our referral, but a little retail therapy every once and a while doesn't hurt! I picked these up at Target, so they were pretty much in my budget.

I'll post some pictures of the boys and Kaelie's room later, I just wanted to see how the camera and the new software would work out.

Karen, those outfits are too cute! I often use retail therapy to cheer me up! It really works, doesn't it? I love how you say "put up peas" in your post, you are so cute!
Thanks for signing my guestbook on my blog. (Kaelin's already spoiled! We've bought so much stuff for her!)
Miss You,
Diane

Hi Diane - I think it's a southern thing...the "putting up..." That is what people say around here! Putting up corn, putting up peas...usually anything that is going in the freezer is "put up"! So, how do ya'll say it up there!

I really do love your blog. I didn't really realize how easy it would be until I started mine, but then I've just really gotten into it. I never realized it could be so much fun! Thank you for coming to visit. BTW, I really, really miss you too!

Oh Karen, you've just given me a new project! The only thing I've ever "put up" is groceries out of the bag into my cupboards! So I am going to put something "up"! The question is what should it be? Also, I will have to figure out how to do it! I think freezing will be my method of choice since canning might be a bit dangerous for a first timer (I'm a maniac in the kitchen)! I am going to the store to see what I can get my hands on! Thanks for a great idea to keep me busy during this wait!
Blogging is awesome, have fun!
BTW, feel free to swipe anything you like off my blog!

Hi Diane - freezing ANYthing is so easy - you can do a search on the computer for "freezing vegetables" and get the directions...I blanched my crowder peas for 1.5 minutes, then just put them in ziploc bags. Let me know what you decide on and how they come out. I guess ya'll have farmer's markets up there, you can get a bushel of peas and have them "put up" in no time! Thanks for letting me borrow from your blog - I can't wait to add some stuff!

Karen and Susan it's so funny that I was just visiting Susan's blog and I mentioned that I went to the farmers market today to look for Crowder's peas! None to be found, and everything was really expensive. I paid $5 for a pint of cherries! So if I put up cherries it would probably end up costing me a fortune! Even the sunflowers were $5 a pc. I know of another farmers market, but it's about 1.5 hr drive. Thanks for the tip on looking up freezing veggies online. I can't wait to get started! (That is is I can find something to "put up"!)

Karen, I think I'm going about this "puttin up" all wrong. I was doing a little research and people "put up" when they have an over abundance of something, so it doesn't go to waste. Such as your Crowder's peas. So I am going to wait until this fruit and veggies stand up the road opens, then I'll be able to get a better deal!
I love your blog!

Diane - you are too funny! No, don't put up anything you can't get real cheap! YIKES at the cherry prices! I remember when we vacationed in Washington state that they sold cherries at roadside stands...David and I rode down the interstate spitting our seeds out the windows...people must have thought we were hillbillies or something!

Hey Susan - I read your blog every day, too! I love the sunflower theme of yours...I've decorated my room with sunflower/ladybug theme for several years now!

Karen, I love cherries! You and David spitting the pits out the window, too funny! But just think about how many cherry trees you must have planted!
You are hilarious! BTW your puppies are so sweet! I would come down and adopt one if we didn't already have our "Storm"! He's all I can handle at the moment!
