Gotcha Day Pictures

The orphanage director hands Kaelie to me!

First glimpses...above and below!

Happy Mama and baby!

Sitting on the floor playing with a dragonfly Lamaze toy. This is the one that Jeremy picked out for Kaelie when we first began the adoption process.
It was a very good and busy day. She didn't take her first bottle until this morning. She likes them so, so hot! She's never eaten any solid food as evidenced by the crying and spitting out of the bits I gave to her last night, even congee! Kaelie is ticklish on her tummy and sucks her left thumb to go to sleep. Kaelie is recovering from the chicken pox and has scabs from the blisters all over. She also has some Mongolian spots on her lower back and bottom that we will have documented when we take her for her first doctor's appointment.
Today is Adoption Day. In one hour, we leave to the Civil Affairs Office to complete the registration. Then, in the eyes of the Chinese government, Kaelie will be our daughter! She is so beautiful and is the light of our lives.
I apologize about not posting. I've had internet connection problems but thankfully today they seem to be resolved! Keep the positive comments and emails coming. David, I love you so much and miss you and I can't wait for you to meet this precious child. She is going to be the apple of your eye! I love you!

COngratulations! I'm so excited to see her with you.
Making those bottles for the Yagn girls is tough, but once you get it, they love it. If you need some tips on bottles, email me.
Katie sucked and still sucks her left thumb to go to bed.
She also had the mongolian spots as well. So glad Linda showed me what they looked like before we left.
Enjoy this time together!
