Septic Tanks and Ladybugs

I have this huge chore to do today. I have to expose the septic tank so that the environmentalist from the health department can see it and approve it as part of our homestudy update. David is working for part of the day today, so, as the saying goes: "If it's meant to be, it is up to me." Story of my life! Anyway...

I was just getting started and the most beautiful ladybug landed on my arm. She probably had a dozen spots and was a bright red. She stayed just long enough to give me a little inspiration.

Oh, there is a huge ant bed right on top of where I have to dig. I have about a dozen bites so far. I came in long enough to let them simmer down, now I've got to get back and stir them up again.

What we have to go through to bring our daughters home! Maybe I will post a pic when I get finished!

Goodness, Karen! That septic tank is coming up a little too often in all of your adoption adventures. I hope you were able to finish with a minimum of ant stings...

Hey Dusty! Crazy, isn't it? You would think by now they would know we have one...these things last forever, don't they? I'm going to call today and find out if the sanitation part of our inspection was OK, we should hear from the water/well part later this week. I'm going for my homestudy update physical today. Hope that turns out OK. Hopefully we will be doing this for the LAST time!
