Impatient (and other unimportant stuff!)

It is officially Father's Day, and today also marks our 16th month LID Anniversary. I have been impatiently checking the mailbox every afternoon to see if our new 171H (immigration approval) has arrived. Tuesday will be two weeks since we were fingerprinted. I hope it comes soon! Our fingerprints won't expire until September, 2008, and our 171H won't expire until December, 2008. HOPEFULLY we will have gone to China by then (but we thought that with the last one, too!)

I've tried my best to add a little music to my blog. Well, I hope it works! These are some of my favorite adoption-related tunes. I hope you don't have to wait for the music to download second-by-second. I've gotten frustrated with it, so I might have to give it up for tonight and work on it tomorrow.

David will finish up a week's vacation today, and head back to work tomorrow. He has really gotten a chance to rest and relax this week. It's been nice having him around the house! He has a few challenges in the coming weeks: his store is going to be renamed from Southern Family Markets to Piggly Wiggly. I think David is looking forward to this as he is hoping it will increase his volume. Piggly Wiggly has some name recognition, whereas who has ever heard of a Southern Family Markets?

We will be having VBS at our church next week. I will be the helper for the third/fourth grade class. I imagine I will have a pretty busy Monday putting the finishing touches on our classroom and getting our teaching materials ready. The first day of VBS is usually chaotic! But, it is well worth it in the end!

Karen,
I loved VBS when my kids were little and I remember how crazy it was the first couple days! So many kids and never enough workers! Enjoy!

Hi Diane!

Oh, it should be LOADS of fun! (note the sarcasm here!) What is most frustrating, in my opinion, is the kids' behavior. You are at a place where the utmost respect should be given, but it's been my experience that the kids don't act so good!

We will have a good time, though. It is crazy, but the kids always come away with a greater knowledge of the Bible - I think God blesses our attempts!!

Happy LID Anniversary! We are hanging in there with you too. We still need to have our fingerprints re-done then we will complete the renewal process.
